Most people use AI to write content that sounds like everyone else. This is the opposite. ChatGPT or Claude decodes what's actually working in your niche, finds the videos that earned you followers and not just views, bottles your real voice so it writes like you, and hands you 30 days of scripts you can film. Same prompts in either app, all in one conversation.
Views Are Only Part of the Story
The plan · 6 steps
- 1Paste the setup prompt and answer its questions.
- 2Decode what's blowing up in your niche.
- 3Export your Instagram data and find the videos that earned followers.
- 4Study your winners next to your flops.
- 5Bottle your voice, then write 30 days of scripts.
- 6Film a small batch and feed the results back in.
Before you start
Your app
ChatGPT or Claude. Both read the CSV and Excel files you attach.
Your examples
Transcripts or opening lines of 5 to 10 top videos in your niche, plus your own best and worst.
Your data
Your Instagram insights through Meta Business Suite. Optional, but it's what finds your follower-earning videos.
Your time: About an hour for the first pass.
Going viral isn't luck, it's a pattern. The videos blowing up in your niche share hooks, formats and topics that work, and your own best posts share a voice your audience already responds to. This has the AI find both patterns, combine them, and turn them into a content engine that runs in your voice.
And a video can get a ton of views without giving anyone a reason to follow you. So this also finds the topics and formats that do both.
Four words you'll see: a hook is the opening that earns attention, a format is the structure (a demo, a comparison, a short story), a topic is what the video is about, and the payoff is what the viewer gets by the end.
Heads up: The one thing that makes or breaks this: neither app can watch your videos. Paste in the transcripts or captions of the top videos in your niche and of your own posts. A link on its own usually isn't enough. Junk in, junk out. Real examples in, real playbook out.
The Strategist Brief
Start one conversation in ChatGPT or Claude, fill in the brackets and paste this. Rough answers are fine. A clear audience and a specific reason to follow you matter more than perfect wording. Do every step after this in the same chat.
Act as my viral content strategist for [INSTAGRAM] short-form video. My niche is [NICHE]. My audience is [WHO I HELP]. I want people to follow me for [SPECIFIC ONGOING VALUE]. My usual videos are [LENGTH AND FORMAT]. My tone is [DESCRIPTION]. I can realistically film [NUMBER] videos per week with [EQUIPMENT, LOCATIONS AND TIME]. Help me build a playbook from current niche examples and my own content data, then turn the strongest patterns into 30 original scripts. Work in stages: research examples, audit my data, identify follower-generating videos, analyze their hooks and structure, then write scripts. Do not skip straight to generic ideas. Use only material you can actually access. Tell me when you cannot read a link or view a video. Ask for a transcript, opening lines, screenshots or a description instead. Never invent metrics, quotes, personal experiences or results. Keep observed facts separate from explanations that are hypotheses. Do not call a new script proven just because its structure resembles an older winner. Start by asking up to five questions that would materially improve the strategy. Then give me a short list of the files and examples to provide next.
For example: "I help busy parents make inexpensive dinners. Most videos are 30 to 45 seconds, filmed in my kitchen. I want followers who come back for practical weeknight meals." That gives it a much clearer job than "make me famous."
Maverick's tip
Include three examples of your own writing or video transcripts when you want scripts that sound like you. Tell it which phrases you would never say.
Decode Your Niche
Now have it reverse-engineer what's actually working in your space right now, and why.
Act as a viral content strategist. Study the top-performing videos in my niche right now and break down the exact hooks, formats, and topics that are blowing up, and explain WHY each one works. My niche is [YOUR NICHE]. Here are examples crushing it right now: [PASTE TITLES, HOOKS, TRANSCRIPTS, OR LINKS].
You get the playbook for your niche: the hook types that stop the scroll, the formats that hold attention, the topics people can't help clicking, and the psychology under each one. That "why" is what lets you reuse the pattern instead of copying one video.
Maverick's tip
Give it 5 to 10 real winners, not one. Paste the hook (first line) and a rough transcript of each. Patterns only show up across examples. And pick videos that beat that creator's usual numbers, because a huge view count on a huge account isn't automatically a standout.
Export Your Instagram Data
Open Meta Business Suite and sign in with access to the Instagram account you want to analyze.
- Export: click Content in the left sidebar, then Export data in the top-right corner.
- Account: choose Instagram, then your Instagram account.
- Dates: go back to when you started the account if that history is available. Otherwise use the earliest date and note it.
- Format: export the content data as a spreadsheet or CSV. You want one row per video.
- Check it: open the file, look at the columns, and save the original unchanged with the export date. Keep Instagram data separate from Facebook data.
The columns that matter: post ID or URL, publish date, views (with its original label), follows from that video if they're there, plus reach, saves, shares and watch time. If follows aren't in the export, check each video's insights and write them down only when shown. Don't split account-wide follower growth across videos.
Now attach the file in the same chat with the + button and paste this, so it checks the data before it ranks anything.
Audit the attached Instagram content data before analyzing performance. List each file, its row count, columns, account/platform and apparent date coverage. Show how you map the original columns to post ID or URL, publication date, views, per-video follows, reach and any other available metrics. Do not silently rename reach, plays or impressions as views. Check for duplicate post IDs, overlapping exports, totals rows, missing values, zero denominators, number-format problems and mixed reporting periods. Keep a record of excluded rows. For duplicate snapshots, do not add their cumulative metrics together. Explain which snapshot you keep and why. Confirm whether follows are genuinely attributed to individual videos and whether views and follows use compatible periods and platform scope. If that is unclear, stop the conversion ranking and ask for the missing information. Keep missing values distinct from zero. Separate paid or boosted content, trial videos and other unlike groups when identified. Mark unknown status as unknown. Show five cleaned sample rows and summarize what analysis is and is not supported. Ask me to confirm any material assumptions before proceeding.
Then check three rows yourself against the original report: the IDs, views, follows and dates. If it used the wrong column, fix it now.
Maverick's tip
You don't need your password, DMs or anyone's contact info for this. Upload only the content numbers and your examples.
Find the Videos That Earned Followers
The number that matters is follows divided by views, times 100. Or follows per 1,000 views. These numbers are made up, just to show the math.
| Video | Views, follows and conversion |
|---|---|
| A: Broad entertaining clip | 1,000,000 views. 500 follows. 0.05%, or 0.5 follows per 1,000 views. |
| B: Useful niche tutorial | 100,000 views. 800 follows. 0.8%, or 8 follows per 1,000 views. |
| What it shows | B got a tenth of the views and still brought in more followers. That's the video to make more of. |
Using the audited data and confirmed column mapping, rank my videos by total attributed follows and by follows per 1,000 views. Also show views and conversion percentage. Use follows / views * 100 for the percentage and follows / views * 1000 for follows per 1,000 views. Show the calculation for three sample rows. Return N/A when a required metric is missing, zero-denominator or incompatible. Do not estimate missing follows. Compare videos with similar time to accumulate results. Where equal-age snapshots are unavailable, show age and the limitation. Keep paid, trial and unknown-status groups visible and separate where appropriate. Flag tiny samples and very recent posts. Propose a minimum-view threshold based on this account's distribution, explain it, and show how the ranking changes with and without it. Do not use a universal cutoff as a fact. Return the strongest videos, high-view/low-conversion videos, and promising lower-view videos. Include IDs or URLs, counts, rates, dates and caveats. Summarize topic patterns only when the titles or transcripts support them. Save the cleaned ranked table as a downloadable CSV if available.
No follows per video in your file? Use the fallback prompt in "If You're New or Missing Data." No export at all? Go straight to Step 4 and paste your views and likes.
Study Your Own Winners
Now turn the lens on you. Paste the transcripts of your strongest videos and a few that flopped, with how each one did.
Now analyze my most recent videos. Break down my voice, my pacing, and my best hooks, and tell me exactly what my winners have in common versus the ones that flopped. Here are my videos, with how each performed: [PASTE YOUR TRANSCRIPTS + VIEWS/LIKES].
You get a deep-dive on your own style: how you talk, how you structure a video, the hooks that land for you, and the thread running through your best performers. Most creators have never seen their own pattern spelled out, and it's usually a lightbulb moment.
Maverick's tip
Include the flops on purpose and say which was which. Knowing what doesn't work for your audience is just as valuable, and it makes the voice step way sharper. If the same hook shows up in your strong and weak videos, it isn't the whole story.
Bottle Your Voice
Here's the trick that makes this repeatable. Turn everything it just learned into something that writes in your voice every time.
Take everything you just learned about my niche and my voice, and build me a skill that writes content in my exact voice, so everything sounds like me and never like generic AI. Base it on my actual videos, my winning hooks, and the niche playbook we found.
"Sounds like me, not like AI" is real here, because it's built from your actual words and structure. That's the difference between generic AI writing and content your audience recognizes as you. Want everything else you write to sound human too? My humanizer guide sets that up once.
In Claude
Type / and choose skill-creator, then paste the prompt. If it doesn't show up, look for it under Customize > Skills. Claude saves a personal content skill you can call any time, in any chat.
In ChatGPT
Paste the same prompt, but swap "build me a skill" for "write me a voice guide I can paste into a project's instructions." Then make a project in the left sidebar called My Voice and paste the guide into its instructions, so future chats write like you too. Stay in this chat for the next step.
Write 30 Days of Scripts
Now put the engine to work. In ChatGPT, say "voice guide" where it says "voice skill."
Now, using my voice skill, write me 30 days of scripts with a posting schedule. Build the schedule around when my audience is actually online, vary the hooks and formats so it doesn't get repetitive, and make every script sound like me, using the niche playbook we found.
You get 30 days of scripts in your voice, using the hooks and formats working in your niche, laid out on a posting calendar. Blank page to a month of content in one prompt. If it stops partway, say "continue from script 11."
Maverick's tip
For real posting times, paste in your best time slots from your analytics. Then read the first few scripts out loud. Would you actually say that opening? Tighten them, then batch-film a week at a time.
For the posts themselves, my Instagram carousel generator builds the visuals, and the Instagram DMs setup handles what happens when those posts get comments.
Film, Post and Feed the Results Back
Pick three to five scripts you can film now. Once they're filmed, ChatGPT and Claude can edit the videos for you. Make sure your profile tells a new visitor what you help with and what they get by following.
Keep a simple results log: script number, pattern, post URL, date posted, date measured, views and follows. Check every post at the same point, like seven days after posting. Then upload the log to the same chat and paste this.
Review this new batch against our previous baseline: [ATTACH OR PASTE RESULTS]. Confirm the metric definitions, measurement windows and distribution groups are comparable. Rank by total attributed follows and follows per 1,000 views where supported. Show both, and flag missing data, small samples or immature posts. For each pattern, report the number of videos, total views and follows, median per-video rate, and aggregate rate calculated as total follows / total views. Do not confuse an unweighted average of percentages with the aggregate rate. Tell me what improved, what underperformed and what is still inconclusive. Do not claim causation from this observational comparison. Choose three patterns to continue, up to three to adapt, and one new experiment. Explain the evidence and give me the next five script briefs.
Don't drop a whole topic because of one weak video. Check the opening, the demo and the timing first. Keep your exports, rankings, scripts and results log together, and upload them when you start a new chat instead of assuming it remembers everything.
Bonus Prompts To Keep the Engine Running
Same chat, same voice. Pull these whenever you need them.
50 hooks
Using my voice and the niche playbook, give me 50 scroll-stopping hooks I can use, grouped by the hook type that's working right now.
Turn one video into ten posts
Take this one video [PASTE SCRIPT] and repurpose it into content for my other platforms: a short-form version, a longer version, a written post, and a carousel, all in my voice.
Trend-jack, as you
Here's a trend blowing up right now: [DESCRIBE IT]. Give me 3 ways to put my own spin on it in my voice that fit my niche and don't feel forced.
Build a repeatable series
Give me 5 repeatable content series I could run in my niche, the kind people follow me for and come back to, each with a format and a sample first episode.
Make a stiff script sound like you
Rewrite scripts [NUMBERS] to sound more like these examples of my natural voice: [PASTE TRANSCRIPTS]. Keep the useful point, factual meaning and promised payoff. Make the opening specific and the body easy to say out loud. Remove generic hype, repeated transitions and unnecessary setup. Do not add personal experiences or results. Give me the final spoken script, a word count, three alternative hooks and simple filming notes. Label any factual claim I still need to verify. Preserve any wording I mark as exact.
If You're New or Missing Data
You can still build a great content plan. These keep a guess from turning into a "proven" strategy.
No follows per video?
My file does not contain reliable per-video follows. Do not calculate or estimate follower conversion, and do not allocate account-wide growth to individual posts. Analyze the metrics actually available, such as views, reach, saves, shares or watch time. Keep their definitions distinct and label any ratios clearly. Explain what each metric can and cannot tell us. Identify promising content to inspect manually and give me a simple table for collecting per-video follows and comparable views if those become available. Call this a content-performance analysis, not a follower-conversion ranking.
No videos yet?
I am starting without my own performance history. My niche is [NICHE], my audience is [AUDIENCE], and I want to be followed for [ONGOING VALUE]. I can film [CONSTRAINTS]. Here are relevant niche examples I can provide: [EXAMPLES]. Create nine original starter scripts across three clearly different topic-and-format hypotheses. Use three scripts per hypothesis. Include complete spoken copy, opening visual, payoff, filming notes and an appropriate call to action. Label all patterns as unvalidated for my account. Give me a simple results log and a plan to review comparable metrics after publishing. Do not invent evidence or predict guaranteed growth.
Maverick's tip
Brand new? Start with niche examples and the starter prompt, then come back to Step 3 once you've posted your first nine videos.
Common Mistakes and Quick Fixes
| If this happens | Try this |
|---|---|
| It describes videos it never saw | Paste transcripts, opening lines and notes on the visuals, and tell it to flag what it can't access. |
| The scripts sound generic | Do Step 5 first, with your real transcripts and the phrases you never say. |
| You only pasted your hits | Add a few flops and say which was which. |
| You exported an account summary | Export per-video content rows instead. |
| Missing follows show up as zero | Leave them blank and use the fallback prompt. |
| Duplicates or overlapping exports | Keep one snapshot per video. The audit prompt catches this. |
| Paid or boosted posts are mixed in | Keep them separate from your normal posts. |
| The top percentage comes from a tiny video | Look at total follows too, and set a minimum view count. |
| Yesterday's post looks like a flop | Compare posts at the same age, like seven days after posting. |
| A great hook, then nothing | Make the demo or answer deliver what the opening promised. |
| The upload won't read | Open the file yourself, then try a smaller file or paste a small table with the original headers. |
Quick Reference: Go Viral With ChatGPT or Claude
| What you want | What to do |
|---|---|
| A strategist that knows you | Copy This First: your niche, audience, voice and filming limits |
| What's working in your niche | Step 1: 5 to 10 real winners with transcripts |
| Your real numbers | Step 2: export per-video rows and audit them |
| The videos that earned followers | Step 3: rank by total follows and follows per 1,000 views |
| Your own pattern | Step 4: your winners next to your flops |
| Your voice, on tap | Step 5: skill-creator in Claude, a My Voice project in ChatGPT |
| A month of content | Step 6: 30 days of scripts with a posting schedule |
| A smarter next batch | Step 7: log results and feed them back in |
The formula: follows / views x 100 = conversion percentage. Multiply by 1,000 instead for follows per 1,000 views.
