Happy Wednesday,
Today I'm getting Claude to dig up the oldest version of you that's still sitting on the internet, then setting up the four connectors that turn Claude from something that talks into something that actually goes and does things, and finishing with the thing ChatGPT quietly started doing this week that I don't think many people have properly clocked.
Let's get into it.

🧠 DO THIS TODAY
Claude Can Find the Oldest Version of You Online
There is a version of you sitting on the internet from about fifteen years ago that you have completely forgotten about. An account you made once and never went back to, a forum you posted on twice, a school or club page with your name on it, a blog you started and abandoned after four entries. None of it went anywhere. It's all still there, and almost nobody has ever gone looking for it on purpose.
So I figured there was no better place to take that than Claude. I put together this prompt chain, ran it on myself, and it dug up my old gaming content from 2016. Stuff I hadn't looked at in a decade and had honestly stopped thinking about entirely.
Step 1: Open Claude and paste this in.
|
Go and find the oldest things about me that still exist on the internet. Search for my name, my email, and any usernames I have used, and look properly, including archived versions of pages that have since been taken down. I want the earliest accounts, profiles, forum posts, photos, mentions on club or school or work pages, and anything from a site that no longer exists. Put it in order from oldest to newest, tell me roughly what year each one is from, and give me the link. My name is [YOUR FULL NAME], my email is [YOUR EMAIL], and old usernames I have used are [LIST ANY].
|
The old usernames are the part that does the heavy lifting, and it's the bit people leave out. Your name gets you the obvious stuff. The username you picked when you were fourteen gets you everything else, because that's what you actually posted under back then.
Step 2: Now the one that turns it from a laugh into something useful.
|
Now look at all of that the way a stranger would. If someone searched my name tomorrow, a new client, a date, someone I am about to work with, what would they find and what impression would it give them. Tell me honestly. Then tell me which of these I should take down or lock, which ones are actually fine, and exactly how to get each one removed.
|
Most of what comes back is harmless and a bit funny. But there's usually one thing in there that makes you go oh, that's still up? An old profile with a photo you'd rather nobody found, an address on a page from 2011, a comment you left in an argument you'd forgotten having. Ten minutes and you can have it gone.
One honest note. It can only find what's public, so it isn't going to turn up anything you posted privately, and it won't get everything. But it gets more than you'd expect, and it's a strange thing to sit and read your own timeline back.

⚡ SET THIS UP ONCE
The 4 Connectors That Turn Claude Into Something Else Entirely
Most people are using Claude straight out of the box, which is a bit like buying a drill and only ever using it as a hammer. On its own it can think. Connect four things to it and it can actually go and do.
These are the four I'd put on any account, and between them they cover almost everything you'd want Claude to reach:
Firecrawl lets it read any website properly, so it can pull the pricing off five competitor sites and hand you a table. Composio is one connection that opens up over a thousand apps, your Gmail, Slack, Notion, calendar, CRM, instead of adding them one at a time. Playwright lets it drive an actual browser, clicking and typing and filling in forms on sites that have no connector at all. And Perplexity plugs it into a live research engine so it answers from the web with sources instead of from memory.
The setup is the bit that puts people off, and it shouldn't, because all four install differently and you don't have to learn any of it. Claude will do the whole thing itself if you ask it properly.
Step 1: Open the Claude desktop app and click the Code tab at the top. Paste this in.
|
Set up these 4 MCP servers for me. Run everything yourself and only ask me when you need something:
1. Playwright — npx @playwright/mcp@latest (free) 2. Composio — https://connect.composio.dev/mcp (I'll sign in when you tell me to) 3. Firecrawl — https://mcp.firecrawl.dev/v2/mcp (ask me for my free API key from firecrawl.dev) 4. Perplexity — https://api.perplexity.ai/mcp (paid key from perplexity.ai — ask if I want it or want to skip it)
Confirm each one is connected before moving to the next, then give me a test prompt for each.
|
It runs the installs itself and stops to ask you when it genuinely needs something, a sign-in or a key. You are not typing commands, you're just answering it.
Step 2: When it asks about Perplexity, say skip it.
That's the only one of the four that costs money, and you don't need it to feel the difference. Firecrawl and Composio are free accounts, Playwright is free and open source, and those three alone are the jump. Add Perplexity later if you find yourself running real research through Claude every day.
|
What each one unlocks
Firecrawl → “Pull the pricing from these 3 competitor sites into a table.”
Composio → “Check my Gmail and summarise what needs a reply.”
Playwright → “Open this page and fill in the contact form.”
Perplexity → “Research this and cite your sources.”
|
One honest note. Firecrawl is the only one of the four that's built into Claude already, sitting in the connector directory waiting for you to click Connect, so if the Code tab isn't for you at all, do that one on its own and you've still upgraded Claude in about two clicks.

🚨 NOBODY'S TALKING ABOUT THIS
ChatGPT Can Now Get Past the Login Screen
Every time you have asked ChatGPT to go and actually do something for you, it has hit the same wall. It gets to the login screen and stops. Which rules out almost everything that matters, because your bank, your energy account, your insurance, your council, your suppliers and your invoices are all sitting behind one.
That wall just came down. ChatGPT Work's browser can now use websites that need you to sign in, and it holds onto that login afterwards.
Here is how it actually works, because the headlines have been a bit loose with this. It does not type your password. When the agent hits a login screen it stops and hands the browser back to you, you sign in yourself exactly like you always would, including the code your bank texts you, and then you hand it back. ChatGPT never sees the username or the password, and what you type during that handover isn't collected.
The bit that changes things is what happens next. The session stays alive. You sign in once and it's still signed in the next time you ask it for something, so you're not repeating that dance every task. It's rolling out on Plus, Pro and Business, on the web and on your phone.
So the jobs it can take on now are the ones you have been putting off for months. Go into the energy account and tell me whether I'm on the cheapest tariff. Find last year's invoices and put them in a spreadsheet. Book the appointment. Cancel the thing I keep forgetting to cancel. Anything real still asks you before it commits, so it isn't going to spend your money or book a flight on a whim.
Here's the part I want you to know. A live session sitting on OpenAI's servers is a real thing to think about, not a reason to avoid this. It's logged in even when your laptop is shut, and OpenAI say themselves that their checks don't remove every risk. So start it on something dull. Your energy account, not your bank. See how it behaves on something where the worst case is a wasted afternoon, then decide how far you let it go.

Run the first one today, and put your old usernames in. That's the bit that turns it from a boring search into something that actually surprises you, and I'd bet you find at least one thing you had no idea was still up.
See you Sunday.
