ChatGPT can now edit your videos. Not like "add a filter" edit. Like actual cuts, zooms, captions, onscreen text... the whole thing. I set this up in about two minutes and the results are honestly kind of insane. I'm going to walk you through exactly how it works and how to set it up today.

ChatGPT Can Now Edit Videos for You

A lot of you probably remember when I talked about using Claude with the Remotion plugin to edit videos. Well, now it's built directly into ChatGPT's Codex as a native plugin, which means the setup is even easier and you get all the power of Codex behind it.

If you're confused how AI can even edit a video... here's how it works. There's a tool called Remotion that lets you build and edit videos entirely using code. Think of it like a programming language for video. Instead of dragging clips around on a timeline, you write instructions... where to cut, where to zoom, what text to put on screen, what transitions to use. Codex writes all of that code for you in plain English. You just say what you want and it handles the rest.

Here's how to set it up.

Step 1: Download Codex if you don't already have it. It's available on Mac, Windows, and in your browser at chatgpt.com/codex.

Step 2: Go to Plugins and search for Remotion. It's a native plugin built directly into Codex so all you have to do is click Add. No extra downloads, no configuration.

Step 3: Upload a video into Codex and say:

That's it. Codex is going to take your video and actually edit the entire thing using code through the Remotion video editor. When I tested it, it added headlines, all the captions, a ranking system, and cut the video perfectly. The results are honestly better than what most people would do manually in Premiere or Final Cut.

And the best part... if you want to change something, you just tell Codex what to fix and it updates the video directly inside the Remotion editor. No re-exporting, no starting over. You just say "make the text bigger" or "add a zoom at the 30 second mark" and it does it.

5 Free AI Certifications for Your Resume

I touched on this last week when I showed you how Claude can basically rewrite your entire resume for you. But the resume is only half the battle. The other half is having the right things on it. And right now, AI is the number one skill employers are hiring for across almost every industry. If you don't have any AI certifications on your resume yet, you're already behind.

I went deep on this and found the five best free certifications you can get right now. None of these cost anything and most of them take less than a day to complete.

1. Google AI Essentials
This is the one everyone should start with. Google will literally certify you in AI in less than five hours. It covers the fundamentals... what AI actually is, how to use it to be more productive, and how to use prompts effectively. Having Google's name on your resume is never a bad thing.

2. LinkedIn AI Learning Certificate
This one's probably the most strategic because LinkedIn shows the certificate directly on your profile. When recruiters open your page, they see it right there. It's the only certification on this list that markets itself for you without you doing anything extra.

3. HubSpot Digital Marketing
If you're in marketing, this one is a no-brainer. HubSpot is listed as a preferred qualification on almost every marketing job listing right now and the whole certification only takes about three hours. Even if you're not in marketing, understanding how digital marketing works with AI is becoming a must-have skill.

4. GitHub Foundations
This certification normally costs $100 but right now GitHub is giving it away for free through their education program. GitHub is the tool every developer on the planet uses every single day, and having this cert shows employers you actually understand version control and collaboration... which matters more than ever now that AI is writing most of the code.

5. Microsoft AI Fundamentals
This is probably the easiest one on this list and it's showing up on almost every six-figure AI job posting right now. It covers the basics of machine learning, computer vision, and natural language processing on Azure. Microsoft's certification carries a lot of weight with enterprise employers especially.

The Right AI Tool for Every Task

I'm sure most of you know by now that there are four main AI models competing with each other right now... ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and Grok. I get asked every single day which one to use and my answer is always the same: pick two. If I had to choose two, I'd go with ChatGPT and Claude. 📧 GAME CHANGER

Claude Can Now Do Your Emails

I've been using this setup for a couple weeks now and it's genuinely one of the most useful things I've built with AI. You can set up Claude to scan your entire inbox, find the most urgent emails, and draft replies to all of them... every single morning. It literally writes all the drafts for you so by the time you sit down at your computer, everything is already waiting. Here's the setup.

Step 1: Open Claude, go to Connectors, search for Gmail, and add the official Gmail connector. This gives Claude access to your inbox so it can actually read and draft emails in your account.

Step 2: Go to the Cowork tab in the top left, choose Projects, hit New Project, and name it something like "Morning Emails."

Step 3: Go to Instructions, click the plus, and paste in the master prompt. This tells Claude exactly how to scan your inbox... which emails to flag as urgent, how to prioritize everything, and most importantly, how to write replies that actually sound like you.

Now every morning, the first thing you do when you open your computer is go to this project and just type "go." That's it. Claude will scan everything, give you a full briefing of what's urgent and what can wait, and draft personalized replies for each one. I've made this the very first thing I do every single day and it's completely changed how I deal with email.

You can also schedule this to run automatically every morning at 7am through Claude's Schedule feature, but heads up... your laptop does need to stay open for scheduled tasks to run.

The drafts are honestly really good. You can go in and tweak them into your own words, or you can just send them straight up if you don't really care. (We all know when someone sends an AI-generated email lol.)

I can definitely relate to this one. When you're in the AI space and have to come up with new things to share every single week, you see firsthand how much is really changing.
